Every Child Deserves To Know They Matter

For Rockin’ for Kids, that moment didn’t happen on a stage or at a concert.

Every meaningful journey begins with a moment no one else sees.

It began quietly during a season when life had changed in ways I never expected. As I took stock of what I could still do, and what I no longer could, one thing remained at the top of the list.

I Still Wanted To Serve, But How?

A conversation with one of my closest friends sparked a simple idea.

“What if we held a toy drive… for our kids?”

I reached out to lifelong friends, fellow musicians, and people I’d met through years in business and throughout our community.

Their response was overwhelming.

Together, we found a venue, organized an event with live music, and hoped that maybe… just maybe… we could collect 250 toys for our children.

That First Event Collected More Than 800 Toys

It wasn’t the number that changed everything.

It was the realization that when a community comes together around a shared purpose, there is no limit to the lives it can touch.

Rockin’ for Kids was born that day, not because one person dreamed of building a nonprofit…

…but because hundreds of people believed our children deserved to know they mattered.

More Than A Toy Drive

What began with one Christmas toy drive has grown into a year-round commitment to serving our children and strengthening our community.

Today, Rockin’ for Kids brings people together through:

A Community United By Purpose

For more than fourteen years, musicians, volunteers, first responders, healthcare partners, businesses, sponsors, community leaders, and thousands of caring individuals have come together with one shared belief:

Our children are our future.

Every toy collected.

Every teddy bear delivered.

Every bottle of water donated.

Every box of food delivered.

Every Thanksgiving meal shared.

Every concert performed.

Every volunteer who gave their time.

Every donor who gave from the heart.

Together, they’ve reminded a child that they matter.

That is the true story of Rockin’ for Kids.

And it’s a story that continues because a community continues to care.
